Video 1- How to Pack up a Room

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX8dwsggNMk

1.) This movie is quick for students. It doesn't drag on with details but rather gets right to the point.
2.) This movie is lighthearted so that students don't get bored.
3.) This movie provides steps in visual images and voice as well as text for the students who need to see and hear the action being done as well as the students who like to read what is being done.
4.) This movie has interesting effects and music to keep students entertained.

Video Tips

1.) Have meaningful content in your video. Movies are more fun than lectures, but kids still won't listen unless the content is meaningful.
2.) Movies are a great way of showing your students how to do something. They can give step-by-step instruction as well as a visual.
3.) Make your video interesting with sound and effects, but don't go overboard. Make sure your effects make sense. Why add an "old-movie effect" on an instructional video on how to do Powerpoint?
4.) Save copies of your movie under new names. Movies take a lot of time and effort. If you aren't careful and save over your movie then you won't be able to undo your mistakes and will have to do the whole thing over.
5.) Keep the original copies of audio and video used for your movie. Just in case!

Prezi Tips

1.) Be careful with putting in paths. Don't have your paths going everywhere and flipping every which way or the viewer will get dizzy!
2.) Like Powerpoints, make your Prezi interesting with different rotations and frames.
3.) You can import a already made Powerpoint into Prezi.
4.) Make sure your student's computers have all of the correct files to support Prezi documents.

Powerpoint Tips

1.) Make your Powerpoints easy to read. Have bullet points and not too much text.
2.) Make your Powerpoints interesting. Have pictures, colors, and animations.
3.) Make your directions clear for a Powerpoint. ie, how many slides are required, animations, pictures, etc.
4.)Make sure to explain how techniques are done in Powerpoint. If you require animations, explain how animations should be done and the different ways to do them.
